- Description
Siemens S7 PLC programming experience? Read on.
My clients are busy. The number of Conveyor and Packaging machinery projects, machinery automation projects that they are handling has grown for a decade, and never been higher.
And now they would like to recruit a PLC Control Software Engineer to help by working from home designing the PLC software- then going to a UK site to do the commissioning of that PLC HMI system, take part in factory automation projects, get your conveyors and machines working, and hand over the project. 90% of the work will be Siemens S7 based, writing new PLC code, or modifying existing Siemens software for each project, Some might be Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation biased, configuring HMI's too, working with Profinet or networks.
You: You live somewhere in the Centre of England-- anywhere from Oxford, Birmingham, Northampton, Telford, Leeds to Manchester would be OK- soeone who can work from home PLC programming and then is happy to drive to site to commission the work. Someone who accepts that there might be 2-4 days away from home when you are commissioning on site, someone who is not looking for a completely office bound job. You understand Siemens PLC software, you have written some, you can modify PLC software for some projects too. Maybe you've worked on in-house automation projects for a manufacturing site and you want to do more of this, maybe youve worked for a machinery manufacturer or as an automation, PLC controls or commissioning engineer with a lot of PLC control input. All of these would be good here.
Salary: You'll get a basic salary of £46000, you'll also get paid overtime and site bonuses which are usually another £15-20K a year, plus a company profit bonus, plus a car, plus good pension and other benefits, plus good training and development when you need it in an Engineer-led international company.
