- Description
40% electrical and mechanical field service, repair, fault finding, installation and commissioning of my client's industrial machinery - and 60% in the factory, working in a team to build the machines from the floor upwards, hand fitting mechanically, electrical wiring across the machine and control panel, electrically and mechanically fitting these.
It would be a good job for a Maintenance Engineer looking to get away from shift work, for an Engineer who likes working on PLC controlled machines or Robotic machines. But all we need is someone who can fault find, repair, wire and build electrically and mechanically. Other Engineers can support you with their own PLC skills, and teach you some. Engineers and technicians here tend to come from machinery manufactuers, maintenance engineers who have worked on packaging, conveyors, materials handling, machine tool installation, service, commissioning, panel wiring for example. Service = mostly UK customer site trips- 1 in 15 might be overseas, but even then, you get to control when you go.
Rewards: A good basic salary from £40000 - £45000, very high pension contribution, 33 days holidays- and the chance to learn and add extra skills to the ones that you have, to get involved in some interesting special purpose machinery projects.
Please send a copy of your CV to Mark Burnard at Hartland Recruitment for more information.
Hartland- a specialist technical recruitment agency, finding Engineers for the UK's Industrial Automation and Machinery Manufacturers since 1990. Many of our customers have their roots in PLC SCADA control systems for factory automation and process control, or machinery for packaging, processing, machine tools, food processing, robotic cells, warehouse automation and production machinery of all types. If that's your background, we'd like to help you.
