My client develops one-off Machinery, Automated, Fast, PLC controlled and sometimes Robotic too. Solving problems and overcoming engineering challenges happens every day, and with more customers asking the company to design machines to increase productivity now, they're busy, and have room for an extra MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER who can design machines and solve those problems too.

The machines find their way into many industries-- automotive, packaging, pharmaceutical, food, electronics manufacturing, dairy. Your job will be to work with other Engineers to take a special purpose machinery design from a customers idea, do all of the mechanical, pneumatic, moving parts, sizing selecting parts to ensure the machine can cope with the speeds, the operation, can move as the customer wants it to, and finally, you'll stand in front of the finished, built machine that you designed and say "I did that."

So. Who are you? You're an experienced Mechanical Designer, you like machines, you're interested in what makes them move- and you probably have experience in a 3D CAD package like Solidworks, Inventor, Solid Edge, Creo. You probably like the idea of taking a project from start to finish, solving problems. And even when that machine you designed doesn't quite work the way you thought it would when it's built, you'll figure out a solution with the machine fitters who built it, and go home with a grin because you did it. And you'll come back in tomorrow because tomorrow's  challenge will be just as good.
