Mechanical Design Engineer
A manufacturer of special purpose machinery has asked us to search for a Mechanical Design Engineer living in the Leicestershire/ Northants area to join their Design and Development Engineering Team.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will have deeper experience- of mechanical engineering / design calculations (materials, stress, loadings etc), possibly experienced in designing parts, subassemblies or complete special purpose machines, packaging or process machinery, the Design Engineer will be involved from the paper concept to the finished machine, or in projects to upgrade and reverse engineer existing machines.
Each machine design project is a "problem solving exercise" for a multi-skilled team, and that's what keeps it interesting here.
The Design Engineer will have some experience of machinery design, subassemblies for machinery, and be familiar with 3D CAD and 2D CAD (for example Solid Edge, AutoCAD Inventor or Solidworks experience).
