Do you have some Mechanical Engineering qualifications and some 2D and 3D CAD skills?

My Peterborough based machinery client has a vacancy for a CAD Draughtsperson or CAD Technician who can use their experience, and grow it too.

Each day, you'll work with Senior Engineers turning their sketches into proper CAD Drawings, Autocad 2D layouts, Solidworks 3D drawings of parts, subassemblies, production drawings to enable parts to be made, fabrication drawings, and drawings that the company can use in its sales and proposals documents to win more projects from worldwide customers for its machinery and systems.

Often, they'll stretch your CAD Technician skills and use your mechanical qualifications- sizing and selecting parts for the machines, looking at weldments, working with sub-contract fabrication companies manufacturing parts and fabrications, machine modifications and developments.

But the basic requirement is for a CAD Draughtsperson with existing 2D and 3D CAD skills (Solidworks would be good, possibly Autocad Inventor) and the mechanical engineering qualifications to assist in the workload.
