You have a Mechanical Engineering background-- maybe experience in the Process industries such as Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, maybe experience in Food Manufacturing, maybe experience of working for a Machinery Manufacturer-- maybe you have organised a few in-house Projects to bring in new machinery or new processes. Maybe you are a more experienced Project Engineer or Project Manager. But one thing is sure- you're looking to move to a company which produces quality machinery, and can already see the order book stretching into 2024.

From start to finish, you'll be the Project Engineer working on Process Machinery and Capital Equipment - from the initial Machinery Layouts or P&ID, getting the machines built, planning the project, organising every aspect, getting the machines onto site for commissioning and handover. Quite often, you'll follow the machines through onto site, deal with the customer, see the project completed. It's great to see the machines working, from what was just a series of sketches a few months ago. Of course, you'll be monitoring costs, budgets, deadlines, using MS Projects to organise the project. Some of your projects will be for overseas customers, so it's important that you are ready to travel internationally at the end of the project to see it finished. It is a part of the job- but you can plan for it.
