It will still use your PLC programming, HMI, SCADA configuration, systems design experience, but being looked on as a Senior means you'll be leading small groups of engineers coding and supporting the projects - acting as a "Lead engineer" helping to run the projects, develop the team. It's the next career jump up from Systems Engineer, that will hopefully see you go further.

PLC SCADA programming ability is the main aim-- some of the following would be good:

Siemens S7 PLC, Rockwell Automation, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron PLC's, Wonderware Intouch, iFix, Cimplicity, WinCC software programming, automation control systems design.

You'll join a leading systems integrator which actively trains, develops its staff at all levels, and has a level of secure work and scope of work that is the envy of several others.
