Food Process and Packaging Machinery automation projects - mainly modifying standard PLC control software, adapting it to the specific project, then commissioning the PLC HMI control solution on customers sites.

So it's not rocket science, mostly modifying Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC software, but occasionally you'll have to write PLC code from scratch to merge 2 conveyors, 2 machines, blend ingredients and dose them for example. But you'll be working for food, pharmaceutical, brewery customers who have high standards, so being the controls and commissioning engineer on these projects comes with some right-first-time-responsibility.

You'll work from home, from the office compiling your PLC software, then going to a UK customer site to commission the project, synchronise the machines, get it up and running.

So what do we need? PLC skills, ability with control software, HMI's, an electrical background, able to work with panels and motors, happy to do site travel and commissioning as part of the work.
