With an increasing number of Factory Automation and Machinery Automation projects and a bigger variety of industries wanting them, my clients need to add one more PLC Automation Engineer to the team.

You'll be designing the PLC HMI control systems, PLC programming and control software from start to finish on your own project. The variety of work means that you might be working on a conveying weighing packaging project, then test assembly, then machine tools, special purpose machinery, vision systems- the list goes on.

What do we need?

-PLC programming skills on one of the big four-- Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi.

-An electrical background so that you can check over and fault find when your machine has been built, and then commission it at the end of your project. 80% of the work will take place in Leicester - 15-20% will involve commissioning on UK sites. 

-PLC controlled machinery experience - others have come to the department from machine tools, packaging machinery, conveyors and warehouse automation, special purpose PLC and robotic machinery environments, and they have all fitted in well.
