Description

Manufacturing is automating, and the requests for different test, assembly, packaging, handling, conveying, production solutions has led to a sustained growth in projects across the last year. It's created the need for an extra PLC Control Systems Engineer.

Working on a lot of one off machinery automation projects, you'll be writing your own PLC control software from scratch for each machine project, and when the machine has been built, testing, modifying your control systems work, and then assisting to commission and get the machine working on a UK customer site at the end.

So in short, a role with a LOT of variety, working on PLC controlled systems from packaging machines, conveyors, test and assembly machines, robotic cells, materials handling systems, automated production lines and special purpose machinery for one off projects.

What do we need? PLC programming skills- ability to write your own original software from start to finish. ANY PLC - could be Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, Mitsubishi - ideally with machine automation projects experience (could be in house projects, or working with a machinery manufacturer) electrical ability (able to read machine drawings, schematics).

What do you want? The chance to work on some unique machine projects, some one-offs, the chance to finish them off, and not be bored doing any more dull old samey projects for ever and ever and ever and ever. Ok, you get the picture.

Interested? Then please send a copy of your CV to Mark Burnard at Hartland Recruitment ASAP.
