- Description
"Let's grow our own PLC Controls Engineer." A very experienced Control Systems Engineering team have a space for a qualified Engineer, who has some work experience with PLC control and Control Software, and wants to do more.
They'll take what you have now, and by mentoring you, supporting others, and getting you to work on live control systems projects, you'll gain confidence in your PLC programming skills to the point where next year, you'll start to do your own small PLC projects from scratch.
Location: Most of the work will be in East Anglian breweries and factory automation projects on food manufacturing sites, so living within 20 miles of Peterborough would be ideal.
Experience: Some PLC control software knowledge is essential, (PLC programming, debugging, diagnostics ideal). You might have studied control systems in an NVQ, Degree, or worked on an in-house PLC automation project. This could be anything from Rockwell Automation / Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Siemens PLC software, SLC, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, Step 7, TIA Portal for example. An electrical background to appreciate the conveyor, packaging line or process that you're automating would be good too.
Salary: Probably £26000-£30000 with improvements as you progress along your training plan.
If that appeals to you, contact me, Mark Burnard at Hartland Recruitment, or send me a copy of your CV and I will get some extra details to you.
