- Description
From start to finish, you'll be the Project Engineer working on Process Machinery and Capital Equipment for the Food Industry.
This involves Project Planning, Machinery Layouts or P&ID using AutoCAD, scheduling the machinery build and bringing the facets of the project together, monitoring the project costs. Having spent 60-70% of your time planning and implementing the project in the UK office, you will then spend 25-35% of your time on site in the UK or Overseas in a hands on role, assisting the Commissioning Engineers to finish the project on site and hand it over.
What do we need? A Mechanical Engineer, skilled in bringing together Capital Machinery Projects,- these could have been for the Food Industry, Packaging, Conveying, or Process Machinery, Brewery, Chemical, Pharmaceutical industrial. MS Project used here as the tool to get the project run and planned "right first time."
Someone who actually likes hands-on involvement too (happy to change a pump, valve, sensor, conveyor belt, assist the electricians, oversee commissioning on site).
The company is busy, expanding each year, working from a solid and secure base. They were busy in the lockdown, now ready kick on again after it. Hence the advert- they're ready to recruit now.
Each of the department earns over £60,000 each year, plus fully expensed company car and good benefits.
What fits? Some examples:
Backgrounds of existing staff include a Mechanical Design Engineer who handled machinery design projects, a Commissioning Engineer who likes project planning and wanted to do less travelling, a Process Machinery Project Engineer, a Print, Packaging, Labelling Handling and Conveying machinery Engineer, a Petrochemical Projects Engineer who converted very well to food processes, a Packaging and Conveyor Engineer.
