Description

Commissioning Engineer

Expansion and a full order book means a need for an extra Commissioning Engineer to help the company to deal with added repeat business on UK and Worldwide customer sites.

Skills:
The company manufactures conveyor systems and bulk materials handling systems for the world's food, pharmaceutical, cereal market, and so each installation is full of PLC software, electrical control panels, mechanical, drives.

The Commissioning Engineer takes the Design Engineers' software and hardware, uploads Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC software on site, check, do small modifications, powers up the control panel, commissions conveyors, materials handling, associated process systems.

Ideal skills- PLC fault finding, PLC software modifications, (PLC programming ability could be good) installation of automated systems, commissioning of machines, willingness to work overseas for 2 weeks at a time, and for 70% of the year.

Location:
70% of the work will be overseas or Europe based. Therefore the Commissioning Engineer can be based in ANY part of England as long as they are able / willing to go to airports and fly overseas.

Pay:
Basic salary £35000-£40000, plus time off en lieu of excess hours (can mean an extra months' holiday/year).
