PROJECT MANAGER
The Role
The Project Manager will be working with a team of electrical design engineers and control software engineers to ensure the completion of complex electrical process, PLC HMI SCADA control systems integration/ software and factory automation projects for a range of industrial customers.
Your role will be to ensure delivery of a range of projects to match customer specifications, consultancy, software integration, installation and commission within time and budget constraints.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all relevant project documentation such as planning and progress reports as well as holding frequent progress meetings with project team and liaising with third parties.
Responsible for profit, deadlines, costs, budgets, planning, resourcing and executing each project.
Becoming involved in the commercial management of the company.
Becoming involved in quotations and proposals for new project enquiries.
A ‘hands on’ approach is essential in this role. Strong technical understanding is essential to challenge and drive team performance in all areas.
- Experience within the PLC SCADA or Electrical control systems industry would be ideal
- Previous experience of working as a PM in control systems, factory automation Industry would be beneficial.
- Strong technical electrical understanding and experience is essential
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
- Customer facing, experience with liaising with suppliers and customers
- Proven track record in managing technical projects
- Strong project planning and implementation skills with use of MS Projects
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects through all stages from design to site handover.
- Useful to have- the ability to cost and write proposals for potential new projects.
- Useful to have- a commercial outlook to engineering projects, and enabling you to become involved in the commercial running of the Company.
- Programmable Logic Control (PLC) Experience is an advantage
