- Description
If you have an understanding of machine safety, functional safety, if ISO 61508, ISO 61511, ISO 62061, ISO 13849 are standards you have worked with, read on.
My customers design machines which process food for the world - they are busy and growing, and this is because of the reputation of the machines, their performance and their quality. It's easy to rest on your laurels when you're doing so well, but my customers think differently. They want to improve their designs, add to what they do, make absolutely sure that each machine design is compliant, covers every aspect of machinery safety. That's why they would like to find a Design Engineer who understands aspects such as functional safety, machinery guarding, safety requirement specifications (SRS), understands electrical design and PLC control software design, to lead the design and safety improvements, project by project across the range and future ranges of machinery.
Nice to have? TUV, CMSE, FSeng, some Pilz safety training, functional safety, safety design experience.
It's a role with a lot of variety and responsibility, and a genuine chance to grow as the company grows. It's also a chance to join a company that really sees the importance of standards such as ISO 13849 and the others, not just pays lip service to them. So if you are an Electrical Design Engineer or Machinery Designer who sees the importance of machinery safety, but feels awkward raising the issue in your present job, come to this company, where it's important and you'll add something. It can be a positive career too, as many in the Machine Reliability and Safety field know already.
You'll get a competitive basic salary, a performance bonus, a range of benefits and a fully expensed company car to help you with your work.
