- Description
Internationally, this company is a major force in the food, dairy and liquid process industry. It's machines, pumps, valves and rotating machinery are found in many of these factories in the UK. I am now seeking a Sales Engineer base in SOUTHERN ENGLAND to assist in growing that UK business- selling to mostly existing customers in the UK process, beverage, food, dairy, water, liquids industries.
The idea combination would be:
- Sales Engineering experience- selling to a process industry
- Mechanical Engineering background
- Rotating machinery, pumps, valves, flow, instrument, mixing, hydraulic or pneumatics, centrifuge or similar mechanical engineering knowledge
- Location: SOUTH- within 25 miles of the M4 or South of the M4
You'll be selling to existing customers in the food, manufacturing and process industries, gaining repeat orders for spares, service contracts, machine upgrades, new machines, watching out for new production lines or process on site that you could win orders from. Basically, low hanging fruit, developing relationships, adding business. There IS some "new business development" to do-- bringing former customers back to ordering again, looking at the new plant-based food market, new renewable energy, new waste water treatment process companies for example.
The company WILL train you on their machinery and their processes and applications. What they need from you is your sales ability, your mechanical knowledge, your knowledge of a process industry.
Rewards: Your basic salary will be competitive- late £30K's- and you'll have a bonus structure which will add a further 40-50%- but can go higher. If you can sell in the engineering market, you will get rewarded. Excellent large company pension and other benefits show why this company retains its staff often for 10-20 years, and with career paths available to many of them.
