Designing Electrical and Mechanical aspects of Process Industrial Projects – for the Steam Turbine, Gas Turbine, Power Generation, Offshore, Oil and Gas sectors.

Because of rapid growth, I am searching for an extra MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER with ability to design and detail special purpose machinery, and SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD experience.

Working as part of a team you’ll be designing machines from concept, sometimes adapting existing modules, changing the arrangement of feeders, selecting gearboxes, shafts, moving parts, pneumatics for some machines, controlling the design from start to finish of other machinery design projects. So- a lot of variety, great for a designer who likes to keep thinking and solving problems!

The best bit is you’ll get to see the fitters building the machine you’ve designed, see it working, and that’s always a bit of a buzz isn’t it?

Oh, and they’ll pay you quite well too. Your basic salary of around £32-35K will be topped off by a bonus that ought to add another £3000. And because the company’s doing well, the atmosphere is good there too.

Due to growth in systems orders and site installations, I am searching for an FIELD SERVICE & COMMISSIONING ENGINEER based in the West Midlands.

The Company designs Automated Systems – conveyors, palletisers, stackers, robotic cells, pick and place, materials handling and packaging systems for UK customers. You would join a small team which looks after all of the post design work: you’ll be testing, pre-commissioning the systems in the factory, then installing, commissioning, wiring in new systems on customers sites, then service, fault finding, diagnostics, support, maintenance and repair of systems beyond that.

Mostly UK, mostly Midlands based work, and the ideal candidate would be a qualified Engineer with a broad range of PLC controlled systems diagnostics and repair experience, and some experience of fault finding and repair of Robot systems.

The award of several long term process control projects, and more in the pipeline, has generated the need for 3 extra PLC Control Systems Engineers to join an established and growing team working on a wide range of process, automation control systems.

Typically the new Control Systems Engineers will work on all stages of a project, from start to finish, from the FDS, PLC programming, software design, hardware design, HMI configuration, some SCADA involvement too, through to on site (UK only) commissioning.

A big order book and new customers providing a wide range of Factory Automation Projects prompted our client to ask us to search for an extra CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER.

You’ll get involved in everything – PLC programming (they use Siemens S7, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi mainly here), Hardware design, HMI’s, Robot programming and general control software design, a bit of electrical control panel design can be useful too.

You’ll use your PLC software and SCADA skills as part of a specialist team which offers automation systems support, troubleshooting of PLC SCADA systems, getting them back up and running ASAP– and also doing small projects such as Upgrades, Conveyor / Process Systems modifications, sometimes control systems design, PLC programming from scratch for a customer.
